By 1920, Henry, Lulu and son Wesley had moved to Willard Township. Logan County, Colorado, where Henry was farming (census page 3B). But by 1930, Henry and Lulu had moved back to Nebraska, where Henry was enumerated as a grain farmer in Woodson Township, Perkins County (page 2A).

The family lived in Monona Township, Clayton County, Iowa, where John was listed as a butcher in 1870 (census page 432A), and as a farmer in 1880 (page 516A). The family apparently moved back to Pennsylvania in the 1870s since two of their children, Henrietta (born circa 1872) and Edwina (born circa 1874), were reported born in Pennsylvania. Subsequent censuses for Edwinna confirm this was the case instead of being an 1880 census error. Frances was enumerated as a photograph artist in 1870 and as a florist in 1920, when she was a widow, still in Monona Township (page 220B), living with her sister Alice Carpenter, also a widow.

WAUKON FARMER DIES IN HIS HOME YARD
Dare Walters, 54, Waukon farmer, was bothered by the 92-degree temperature Tuesday, so he took time out from combining to sit in the shade.

From the Titusville Morning Herald, 9 December 1876:308 “Married at the Methodist parsonage, Titusville, December 5, by Rev. J. N. Fradenburgh, Wisconsin, [William] J. Briggs, of Millerstown, Pa., and Miss Alice Haworth, of Pleasantville.”
In 1880, William J., Alice and son Otto were living in Millerstown, Butler County, Pennsylvania, where William was listed as a laborer. Also with the family in 1880 were Herby Briggs, born circa 1873 in New York state, and Mary Haworth, “sister-in-law,” born circa 1857 in Iowa. Alice died in 1885, and by 1900, William J. had married Mary Ann Elizabeth (Haworth) Briggs (#95), sister of Alice. The family was in Lafayette Township, McKean County, where William was listed as a oil well pumper. Also in the household in 1900 were William and Alice’s children Charles and Jessie Briggs.309 Apparently William and Mary did not have children.
